Your child's safety and comfort are our top priorities. Every interaction is carefully supervised, and extra precautions are taken to ensure a positive experience for both children and horses. We never rush a session, and every child is introduced to the animals at their own pace.

A run down of your session with mini buckaroo co.

How does it work?

After you book the session and we agree upon a place and time. You bring your little buckaroo (preferably in jeans, a button up shirt and boots). I provide the hat, chaps and the mini horse!

We get your little one all gussied up and then we meet the star of our show - JackJack the mini horse!

The shoot itself

With the help of an assistant, I will get your buckaroo up on JackJack and we will start leading him around to get everyone used to him. Then I'll start photographing and videoing depending on your package.

Safety

Throughout the entire shoot, we keep a long line attached to the mini horse so your buckaroo is never on their own.

We photoshop out the line in photos during the editing process, giving the appearance of your mini buckaroo riding out on their own on their mighty little steed!

Afterwards

Once our session is done (we cap sessions at 35 minutes for the comfort and safety of the humans and horse). You will receive a link to your photos within 2 weeks. If your contract involves video, you will receive your videos within 3 weeks.

How long is it?

Unless previously specified, each session is around 20 minutes to 35 minutes.

Is it a pony ride?

Yes... and not quite.

Mini Buckaroo sessions are designed as a photo experience, not a pony ride. Your little buckaroo may spend some time sitting on the mini horse for photos, but they will also be photographed beside him, near him, and around the ranch setup.

Please help set expectations with your child ahead of time that they will not be on the horse for the entire session. This helps keep the experience safe, smooth, and enjoyable for both your child and our mini horse.

Is there an age/weight limit?

Our model mini horse is very small and cannot safely carry every buckaroo. For the safety and well-being of both your child and our horse, the maximum riding weight is 70 pounds.

Children over this weight limit are still welcome to participate in the session and pose with the horse, but they will not be permitted to ride.
